I collect client information for the following reasons:
- To communicate with clients about appointments (phone and email)
- For marketing purposes for my business; my monthly newsletter, blog posts and occasional mailings (Gmail and Mailchimp)
- Recording client sessions (written and filed)
Confidential client records are kept in a locked filing cabinet. It is a requirement of my insurance company that I store client records for 7 years. This means that I cannot erase written client records. Clients may request to have access to their records at any time.
Clients, or those who have joined my mailing lists, may at any time request that details I hold on my Gmail mailing list and Mailchimp mailing list be permanently deleted. My Mailchmp newsletters and mailings have an unsubscribe option at the bottom of the page. You can unsubscribe from either list whenever you wish.
I am registered with and comply with the ICO Data Protection and comply with GDPR guidelines, which come into effect on 25th May 2018.
